Richard Veenstra is a Music Technology Specialist, Music Composer, and Electronic Music Performer. He composes music for TV-Spots, Radio Dramas, Theater Productions, Documentaries, and Games. Clients include ARD, the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, NPS, Dutch Dance Days, RBB, and Tatort. Compositions have been aired on radio stations in Europe, and autonomous works have been performed on locations like the Concertgebouw aan ‘t IJ Amsterdam and Radio Svizzera Italiana. He holds a Bachelor´s Degree in Music and a Postgraduate Diploma in Music with a specialization in Composition in Contexts.
Richard teaches Music Technology-courses at various music academies and is Module Leader and Lecturer Experimental Sound at Akademie Deutsche POP in his hometown Berlin. He is a regular Guest Teacher at the Prince Claus Conservatory Groningen. As an Electronic Music Performer, he performed with bands and artists in international venues, including recently with Dutch artist Thomas Azier. He has a music studio in his hometown Berlin and writes about Music and Technology for Magazines like MacFan and iPhone Magazine.
